DOUBLE THE FUN~DOUBLE THE LEARNING

When we started our Turn-the-Tide programme, we had zero (absolutely no) funds dedicated to running of the lessons and salaries - paying our brand new instructors and sorting out lunches for 20 months per lesson.

So we decided that 2 classes a week was what we could start with because we were sure that we could at least beg, borrow or tap dance our way to reach that amount.

AND WE DID!!

We have run our programme EVERY WEEK (except Christmas week) since the week we launched our Turn-the-Tide schools programme! Without fail.

Even when all we had to feed our kids were pão sandwiches with peanut butter and jam. 

Now our kids get quality, healthy, substantial lunches and our coaches are well-seasoned in running their lessons.

Look at us go…!

So now... we have decided we are ready to expand our programme to 4 lessons a week – inviting the younger children from the primary school to join us so that we have two times more classes and our coaches/ instructors get more chances to teach and improve their salaries.
